The concept of eternity is important because it can occur within our finite lifetime.
snow is white is still true, and podium is for standing, and socrates is for snub-nosing, and alexander is for student of student of socrates, and a = a and 2+2=4 is for declaring true self-evidently … and “what is philosophy for?” you ask?
This state of affairs seems to press that having an inadequate and incomplete reality with a perfect idea of it is advantageous to having nothing and a mere perfect idea. The former is much closer to its perfect reality form than the latter.
It’s caused by the way it is, not because of the way it is, but because of the cause. So the cause takes precedence.

The idea that every event is perceived or it goes unnoticed. That every such event must have been previously conceived.
It’s a struggle to recognize all things, and reconcile everything. To make a decision and decide at every moment. And still leave room for hope and change. It gets quite tiring.
